A Twist of the Wrist, Vol. 2, Book. The newest Twist book contains twenty-six chapters of riding techniques. Straight to the point information on how to make your bike work for you not against you. Volume II names and solves the seven specific riding problems every rider faces.   Personally, I would recommend Sport Riding Techniques by Nick Ienatsch over the Twist of the Wrist books. I have read both TWOT I and II, and found them extremely frustrating to read. I subsequently only read them once. Sport Riding Techniques is a hundred times better written and about 20 years newer, and it contains a lot of good information.

And TWIST has been well received worldwide, mainly because it provided riders with a format for discovery and thinking about their riding; it was a useful first step. But TWIST OF THE WRIST VOLUME II contains more real riding technology than TWIST I and it addresses the source of our classic rider problems.

A Twist of the Wrist (1) Twist of the Wrist 1 and 2 were recommended to me, along with Proficient Motorcycling, as guides to help beginners understand the mechanisms of riding motorcycles. I found Twist of the Wrist 1 was more involved with racing on a road course than dealing with daily riding/traffic/5().

This review is from: A Twist of the Wrist 2: The Basics of High-Performance Motorcycle Riding (Paperback) This book will teach you how to ride like Doohan instead of riding like a squid (eg fast and smooth instead of point and shoot)/5().

This book, its precursor and the film are riding essentials. I know some attempts have been made but really TWIST OF THE WRIST and TOTAL CONTROL are the only books on riding that have really changed the wayI think about being on the bike, even though Im no racer. Read this book, learn your limits and ride safe and enjoyably for many years/5.

The book: Twist of the Wrist: The Motorcycle Roadracers Handbook was better and I'd strongly recommend getting the book over the DVD. I'm a big fan of Keith Code though, but I don't think this is a good indication of his typical work.

Read more. Helpful/5(38). A Twist of the Wrist: The Motorcycle Road Racer’s Handbook. A Twist of the Wrist: The Motorcycle Road Racer’s Handbook. Keith Code was a motorcycle racer and he also launched the California Superbike School, which continues to train hundreds of.

A Twist of the Wrist, Code's first book, is perhaps the most important of the three books, but it is also the most frustrating. Here Code first experiments with the vocabulary of riding, creating terms like "products" and "sub-products," which are defined more or less as "the final result" but the use of which is confusing, and terms like.

But "A Twist of the Wrist" is not a good book. Colloquial and inconsistent language. Use of jargon. It is written as if for a target audience that failed out of elementary school and seems like it was maybe written using speech-to-text software (no, you cannot write a book by dictating it).

Not the first book I've read that had that flavour to it/5(). There are some great books and films out there and Keith Code’s _A Twist Of the Wrist_ (volumes one and two) are near the top. It’s not the best written but contains some real gems to get your brains in line with your body. Perhaps a video helps you learn better.

This film is. Twist of the Wrist is the world's number one step-by-step, easy to use manual that tells the motorcycle rider - novice or veteran, cruiser to sportbike rider - everything he needs to successfully improve his riding.
